CAP & GOWN Information

Graduation Dress Code

Traditional Dress for Graduation is Cap, Gown and Tassel
Please note that while caps and gowns are the traditional dress for graduation, such attire is not required for students to participate in graduation ceremonies. CAMS has not changed their cap and gown style for years, so if a neighbor, friend or relative has one, a student may wish to borrow theirs. We also make free caps and gowns available for students who wish to borrow them. Please also keep in mind that graduation dress codes will apply in the absence of a cap and gown.

Academic Achievements Attire:
• Cords, stoles, medallions etc., that are related to student’s academic achievements, Pathway affiliation, clubs, or accomplishments are allowed.

Celebratory Accessories:
• Wearing celebratory or cultural accessories during graduation is allowed. These include but are not limited to flower leis, necklaces, etc. (Money Leis can only be given to the student to wear at the conclusion of the graduation ceremony).
• All celebratory accessories must be appropriate for school and the audience; nothing inappropriate or offensive is allowed.
