VEX Robotics

CAMS VEX Robotics

CAMS has a thriving community of students, parents, and teachers involved in VEX Robotics. VEX Robotics is the largest and fastest growing robotics program globally with more than 10,000 teams from 32 countries playing in over 750 tournaments worldwide. CAMS participates in regional, state, and world competitions, and hosts tournaments as well. By participating in VEX robotics, students learn about mechanical and electrical systems, gear ratios, documenting the engineering design process, and computer programming. In addition to learning these valuable engineering skills, students develop career readiness skills such as collaboration, communication, and creativity. VEX robotics is an excellent way to increase interest in STEM subject areas and to encourage the pursuit of STEM related careers.

CAMS students mentor local middle school VEX teams as part of our active outreach program. We have expanded this outreach to include hosting students from China. Each summer, CAMS holds a summer enrichment program to introduce the joys of VEX robotics to middle and elementary school students.
