FIRST Robotics Competition

Team 687 has been competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition for 22 seasons, and a total of 48 official events. They were a rookie (and began competing) in 2001 and remain active as of the current season, 2022.

FRC687 represents the intersection of the CAMS and FRC.  The CAMS vision is "The California Academy of Math and Science develops the talents of motivated students to become thoughtful & productive members of an increasingly global & technological society."  The FRC vision is "To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders."  Dean Kamen, Founder

FRC687 is represented by 80 students in grades 9-12, dedicated parents and mentors.  Faculty sponsors are Ted Harder, Somaly Imatomi and Janet Lewis.
